Children's folklore as a basis forteaching reading and text analysis

The article focuses on the appropriateness of usagechildren's and fairy-tale folklore texts as educationalmaterial in the process of forming reader'scompetences. The peculiarities of the practical usageof folk art creations at the literary reading lessons areanalysed in terms of the experimental study. There issuggested a theory and methodology of learningactivity organization in elementary school.
