Job satisfaction as a catalyst mechanism transforming knowledge competence and intrinsic motivation into sustained lecturer performance in higher education
The study examines how lecturer job satisfaction transforms knowledge competence and intrinsic motivation into sustained performance. Using data from 468 lecturers across three countries, the authors test a triple‑mediation model showing that job satisfaction fully mediates the link between knowledge competence and performance, and partially mediates the motivation–performance link.
